Basic eBay Selling Tools to Get Started Selling on eBay
By James Kurch

There's two common misconceptions about making money on eBay.

The first that it's confusing and you have to be a computer programmer to do it, the second being you need special tools and help to sell anything.

Fortunately, these two misconceptions couldn't be further from the truth. Over the years eBay has created such a simple step by step process for listing auctions it's ridiculous. You don't need to know html or anything to list an auction, it's all there for you.

Now eBay Selling Tools, I consider to be extra's you don't need when you're first starting out, like a turbo listing service or image hosting server or even an eBay store.

Now there's many benefits to using these services, but if you're new to buy and selling on eBay you don't need them to list an auction successfully.

The only tools you need are the ability to write a title that includes keywords to get more auction views who are searching for items, a way to accept payment (preferably PayPal) and Pictures of the item.

Let's start out with the Title and keywords. Just use keyword eBay.com to find out what people are searching for and then find ones relating to your product, stick those in your title so capture those searches.

PayPal, pretty straight forward, just go to PayPal.com and open an account if you don't already have one, if you already do, great.

Now, pictures. Yes, Pictures are a very important part to your auction, bidders can only bid based on what they see or read. Including pictures (at least ONE) is a no brainer, you just gotta do it.

So how can you get a picture of the item. You have a few different options, a lot of people have digital camera's or cell phones with cameras. Obviously if you have a digital camera, then you're all set you can take phones and stick them on your auctions.

If you don't have a digital camera but do have a cell phone with a camera you can check your providers website and some let you send the photos (upload) to the site by sending them to a specific number, then you can download them and use them.

And some phones have memory cards you can simply stick into your computers memory card slot and download the pictures.

And finally, the best option, I would recommend if you don't have a digital camera is to simply get a picture off the manufacturers website or a site that has the images from the manufacturer on them.

Make sure when using this method you put in the description that it's not an image of the actual product being shipped.

Your title and pictures are going to make or break your auction, they are both very important parts to the selling on eBay puzzle.

How to Use eBay Promotional Tools For More Profit
By James Kurch

eBay wants you to be successful. The reason for this is simple - the more money their sellers make, the better they do. In order to help their sellers succeed they have created a number of promotional tools designed to increase your success.

These tools add value to your listings, resulting in higher selling prices for your goods. In exchange for the added value, eBay takes a small fee. Thus both eBay and the seller benefit from the use of these tools.

eBay wants to use their tools as often as possible, and has priced them accordingly. Typically, all features are worth more than they cost when used appropriately. For example, you can make your listing stand out by added highlighting or making it bold. Both options are available for only a few cents per auction and can increase your final selling price by as much as 25%.

Other promotional tools available include product finder, gallery, border, gift services listings, subtitles, keywords, co-op advertising, and optimized listings. Additionally, listings can be featured, featured plus, featured on the home page, and featured in the gallery. Featured listings are more expensive then other promotional options, but also attract far more traffic than any other option. Obviously, your product has to be expensive enough to make the added cost worthwhile.

Not all promotional tools result in increased fees though. In fact, most are free. The use of both free and paid tools can greatly increase your chance for success, so be sure to check out all your options when creating a new listing. Pricing and features of the different promotional tools change frequently, often going "on sale" for brief periods of time.

Whether you are serious about making money from your eBay business or just have one big ticket item to sell, you will definitely want to take advantage of the promotional tools offered by eBay. Paid tools like bolding and "featured" auctions are sure to boost your traffic, and thus your final selling price. Free tools generally offer smaller boosts in traffic, but are still worthwhile pursuing.

eBay Selling Tools For Beginners and Advanced Sellers
By Jordan Ashton

Selling on eBay is not difficult, but there are eBay selling tools that make life easier and that will improve your eBay business. I have been selling on eBay for over 10 years and have used these tools to improve my business. If you are just starting out, I highly recommend using these tools.

Tool 1 - In order to have a great eBay business, you need to sell items that are in high demand. There are many tools that will help you with finding which items on eBay are hot. One free tool offered by eBay is eBay Pulse. This tool will show you the top ten searches within a given category. Another tool that I use is the advanced search on eBay. This tool is free as well. You can search for items that have actually sold and find out at what price the items have sold. So once you have an item that is in high demand, check to see how much that item is actually selling for, and how many listings end up as a sold item.

Tool 2 - I highly recommend that beginners use drop shippers. A dropshipper has many advantages over using a wholesale source of goods. One big advantage is that you don't have to buy the items first. With a dropshipper, you list one of their items for sale. If it sells, then you purchase the item from the dropshipper and have them ship the item to your customer. If you buy wholesale then you have to buy the product first and then hope that you sell it. If you do sell it then you have to ship the item. This is very time consuming.

Another advantage of using dropshippers is that you can test which items will sell and which don't sell very well. The only cost in this experiment is the eBay listing fee. My dropshipping company has hundreds of items to sell. This allows me to test many items to see if there is any demand for the product. We the automated listing tools that my dropshipper has, I can list many items quickly on eBay with just a click of the button. If I find a winning item, I then start creating more listings for that item.

There are many tools I use that make my eBay business successful. The two most important tools help me find the hot selling items and a dropshipping company that offers many items for sale.

Free eBay Kit - This kit is full of information on how to be successful on eBay. They have automated tools and thousands of items you can sell on eBay

Certified Dropshippers - This company is the real deal. This is a publicly traded company that is in the business of making you a better eBay seller. If you need a reliable dropshipper then check out this company. They have thousands of products to list on eBay.
